About us

SolarLink exists to simplify solar — for everyone who works around it, installs it, or needs to understand it better.

With over 15 years in the electrical industry and 7 years specialising in solar, we’ve seen the gaps in training, safety, and system knowledge that can lead to costly mistakes. That’s why SolarLink provides straight-up, real-world support across four key areas:

  • Education for emergency services, trades, and property professionals

  • Builder and developer support during the solar integration process

  • Business consultation for solar companies to streamline operations

  • Real estate training to help upsell and explain solar benefits

We don’t just teach the standards — we work in the industry every day. Whether it’s advising a fire crew on PV hazards or helping a solar company fine-tune its quoting process, SolarLink is the link that keeps your people safe and your systems working smarter.

Who we are

My name is Brad Lynch, and I am the founder of SolarLink. Over the past five years, I’ve built a successful solar installation company, drawing on my electrical training in Germany and my apprenticeship here in New Zealand. My experience in Germany taught me the importance of efficiency and process, while my time in New Zealand has strengthened my approach to hard work, dedication, and customer-focused service.

As solar adoption continues to grow rapidly, it has become clear that there are significant gaps in knowledge and training across various sectors—gaps that can lead to costly mistakes. This is especially true in industries like construction, real estate, and emergency response, where the integration of solar technology is becoming more common. With this rapid growth comes a responsibility to ensure that the risks associated with solar are minimised in New Zealand.

SolarLink was founded to address these needs. My vision for the future of solar in New Zealand is one where the industry thrives safely and efficiently, with every professional involved—from installers to first responders—armed with the knowledge and skills to do their jobs correctly. I see a future where solar energy is integrated seamlessly into every part of our lives, but with a deep understanding of the risks and best practices to ensure safety and effectiveness.

At SolarLink, we are not just about delivering education; we’re about shaping a smarter, safer future for the solar industry in New Zealand. From helping solar companies optimise their operations to advising emergency services on the hazards of photovoltaic systems, we are the trusted link that ensures your people are safe and your systems are performing at their best.
