About
SolarLink

SolarLink exists to simplify solar — for everyone who works around it, installs it, or needs to understand it better.

With over 15 years in the electrical industry and 7 years specialising in solar, we’ve seen the gaps in training, safety, and system knowledge that can lead to costly mistakes. That’s why SolarLink provides straight-up, real-world support across four key areas:

  • Education for emergency services, trades, and property professionals

  • Builder and developer support during the solar integration process

  • Business consultation for solar companies to streamline operations

  • Real estate training to help upsell and explain solar benefits

We don’t just teach the standards — we work in the industry every day. Whether it’s advising a fire crew on PV hazards or helping a solar company fine-tune its quoting process, SolarLink is the link that keeps your people safe and your systems working smarter.

Our Services

Solar Business Consulting

Streamline Your Ops. Lift Your Game.
Running a solar company is tough — quoting, logistics, compliance, and customer comms all need to be dialled in. At SolarLink, we consult directly with other solar businesses to refine processes, reduce inefficiencies, and help teams scale without the burnout. From design workflows to DG applications, we’re here to optimise your backend so your front end shines..

Real Estate Professionals

Educate, Upsell, and Close with Confidence
Whether you're listing, selling, or renting a property, understanding the benefits of solar can help you close the deal. Our training helps agents explain system features, savings potential, and what buyers or tenants should know — turning a roof full of panels into a serious selling point.

We provide clear, real-world talking points that make it easy to explain system types, warranties, and what buyers can expect in terms of performance and return—without needing technical knowledge.

Emergency Services Training

Solar Safety Training for First Responders
Our training sessions are built specifically for firefighters, police, and emergency personnel who may encounter solar systems during an incident. We cover the risks, components, and safe shutdown procedures — with practical demonstrations, real hardware, and a plain-English approach. No filler, just the essentials that can make a difference in the field.

Builders and Trades

Support During the Build — and Beyond
Solar is becoming standard in new builds, but poor integration leads to delays and compliance issues. We partner with builders, sparkies, and project managers to plan systems properly, help upsell solar to clients, and ensure installation is future-ready. From pre-wire to final sign-off, we offer the support your crew needs to get it right the first time.

We also dive into how to confidently introduce solar to your clients during the build process. Learn when and how to raise the topic, what key benefits to highlight, and how to collaborate with a solar provider to make the process seamless. Add value to your projects and position yourself as a forward-thinking industry professional.

Who is SolarLink

My name is Brad Lynch, and I am the founder of SolarLink. Over the past five years, I’ve built a successful solar installation company, as an electrician - drawing on my electrical training in Germany and my training here in New Zealand. My experience in Germany taught me the importance of efficiency and process, while my time in New Zealand has strengthened my approach to hard work, dedication, and customer-focused service.

As solar adoption continues to grow rapidly, it has become clear that there are significant gaps in knowledge and training across various sectors—gaps that can lead to costly mistakes. This is especially true in industries like construction, real estate, and emergency response, where the integration of solar technology is becoming more common. With this rapid growth comes a responsibility to ensure that the risks associated with solar are minimised in New Zealand.

SolarLink was founded to address these needs. My vision for the future of solar in New Zealand is one where the industry thrives safely and efficiently, with every professional involved—from installers to first responders—armed with the knowledge and skills to do their jobs correctly. I see a future where solar energy is integrated seamlessly into every part of our lives, but with a deep understanding of the risks and best practices to ensure safety and effectiveness.

At SolarLink, we are not just about delivering education; we’re about shaping a smarter, safer future for the solar industry in New Zealand. From helping solar companies optimise their operations to advising emergency services on the hazards of photovoltaic systems, we are the trusted link that ensures your people are safe and your systems are performing at their best.
